This letter is in search of land to lease for prospective hunting clients. We understand that you are contacted frequently regarding hunting leases so please let us take a minute to share why Western Wildlife Adventures (WWA) is a company you can entrust with your property. It is important to emphasis that Western Wildlife’s number one priority, as a company and as a partner in wildlife management, is not to overhunt. Our primary focus is to manage and create sustainable wildlife environments to provide continual hunting opportunities for many generations.
Western Wildlife Adventures has been in operation since 1996. Current owner (Chris Hall), partner with WWA since 2015, purchased the company in 2021. Western Wildlife is a family ran business with Chris and his wife, Shannon and their two children. Johnny Eller is the lead sub-guide for big game, as he also manages his own fishing business on the Sacramento River. As a team we excel in partnership with landowners and provide great service to our clients.
Creating an effective working partnership and transparent communication with landowners is of utmost importance when managing hunting property. We understand it is our privilege to manage the property and not a right. We work closely with land owners and/or ranch managers to work as a team in order to respect and meet each parties’ goals and objectives. For example, some objectives focus on cattle management in which WWA will prioritize harvesting of hogs and improving water sources on the property.
Western Wildlife participates in the Private Land Management (PLM) program on two ranches we currently lease. On one of those ranches, we are in the process of removing feral cattle. Western Wildlife was awarded a large grant that will cover all costs of feral cattle removal and create two new corals on the property. Similarly, on a different piece of property we developed 12 unique water sources and 8 quail guzzlers for wildlife. These PLM opportunities allow WWA to engage in habitat longevity projects and qualify for extended hunting seasons; thus, making the property more valuable to the land owner as well.
Our client’s experience is a top priority of Western Wildlife. Our clients hunt elk, deer, pigs, bear, turkeys, quail and waterfowl. We pride ourselves in offering some of the best hunting opportunities in California and Nevada. Our goal is to continue to acquire properties with quality land management which in turn provides great hunting experiences for our clients and their families. Creating a respectable relationship with our clients is a major cornerstone of our company.
Given our quality hunting experiences our wait list continues to grow. Obtaining new properties helps manage the number of hunters on each ranch. We are interested in land to lease that will provide our clients with excellent opportunities, with some of those properties having the potential to be a PLM.
From managing the hunting rights on a million plus acres in Nevada to five thousand in California there is no common price structure. Each property offers its own unique prospect when it comes to species to hunt, PLM options, as well as potential lodging on the land. Dependent on amenities and the wildlife the property has to offer, our leases range from $3 – $6 an acre or more; this number can also vary with smaller ranches. Western Wildlife Adventures and leaseholders are covered under our five-million-dollar insurance policy.
Western Wildlife was established in 1996 and has developed into one of the top guiding services for big game in Nevada as well as big game and waterfowl in California. It is our hope you now have a clear understanding of how our company operates and the wildlife sustainability we have accomplished with some of the many properties we lease. We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about Western Wildlife Adventures.
We are interested in any size ranch and appreciate the occasion to discuss the potential opportunities.
Best,
